Self-promotion is the name of the game in internet marketing and articles directories are a great way to go. These are fairly new but there are already some high power people posting so they will have only good content. I spend a lot of time reading about successful business and marketing tactics related to MLM Network Marketing Leads because I find this an interesting business. But the more I read, the more I understand that it really isn't much different than most other businesses. If you want to be a success you have to work at it. As someone once said, you have to do the foot work in order to reap the rewards. The problem is most people don't want to do the work. They want the riches right now and they are not willing to take the time to learn the ropes in order to be a success. Like in the MLM game. This reminds me of all the hullubulu (is that a word?) that is going on with the stock market right now. We have got to be near the bottom and if the market goes much lower it won't matter anyway because the money won't be worth anything. It is a perfect example of people investing without understanding the stock market and thinking it is always a direct ride to profits.

Everyone I have ever talked to about the market said you have to be in it for the long haul. You can not get scared and pull it out the minute the values go down. The time to sell is not when everyone is selling. The time to buy is when people are scared sh*tless like now. There are bargains galore to be had and the people who get in now are going to make all kinds of money when it comes back (which it will).

This idea that you can not follow the crowd is really one of the most fundamental aspects that beginners need to understand. The time to buy stocks is when the blood is running in the streets not when everyone is partying because the market is so high. Investing in the stock market for beginners can be intimidating but this should be a cornerstone of their philosophy. They need to understand that you hold on for the long term and you don't buy when the market is red hot. You buy when everyone else is selling. I have a short post today. I have started a new website on the Yahoo page builder site Geocities. I don't have a good topic yet other than to say I will be talking about whatever tickles my fancy so to speak. As I said it will be more of a page about personal views of things and not a blog about a particular subject like here.
I just felt like I needed a place to talk about things that were important to me which were to specific to what I talk about at blogspot. I also wanted to try out their program and see how easy it is to build a web page. So far I am not really very impressed. Ithink they tried to make it really easy to use but in reality it is fairly difficult.
The page building tools are not very intuitive like they are here at blogspot. I will continue to develop the page and see what happens but so far nothing beats blogger and blogspot.

I am always looking for new blogs and websites to get information on how to make money using the internet. I ran across a great blog by a guy in England that really has a lot of good information and inspiration. The name of the blog is Mike's Money Making Mission. As I said he is from England (don't hold it against him he seems like a nice guy) and he is more than willing to share information on internet marketing in particular and making money in general.

His current post talks about how important it is to have patience and persevere when you are building an online business. You can read it at Making Money. He talks about the importance of building your business and not losing the faith. The same holds true for a MLM business. The reality is you are not going to build a massive down line and cross line in a month. If just won't happen. Today I was thinking about some the the thing you don't want to do if you are trying to build a MLM business by finding leads. I want to talk about a few that do not work and can get you in trouble with the law.
1. Do not post fliers on telephone poles advertising that you want people to join your Multi-level Marketing. If you use your telephone number you will probably get calls. Unfortunately they will probably be calls from the police telling you to take them down or you will get a ticket.
2. The same goes for fliers on car windows. If nothing else you will probably be ticketed for littering when everyone rips them off their windshields and throws them away.
3. Cold calling out of the telephone book doesn't work either. This is an insanely inefficient way to find leads. The chances of you calling someone who will be interested in your offer is probably less than if you won the lottery. You should probably just hang up the phone and buy a megabucks ticket.
4. Lastly, don't try walking around and talking to people trying to get them interested. You will get mostly rejections. If someone doesn't give you a rejection it is because they are too busy calling the police.
These are some of the ways that don't work to build a strong downline.
